It was 70 degrees in KC yesterday! Granted the wind was blowing 40 mph, but I will take it. This surge in warmer weather has me wanting to stock up on some spring essentials and I totally have my eye on these floral pants from Zara. You can pair them with white or black or add some color to step it up a notch.. maybe a little neon??

I am, of course, wanting to switch out my plaids for florals in the house as well and this black and white floral fabric would make fab pillows or curtains in any room!

Have any of you incorporated floral this season? I would love to hear!!

Outfit to Room

Does everyone want to wear faux fur every day, or is it just me? I have been trying to get as many uses out of this baby before warm weather is here to stay. I think Adam is probably tired of seeing it!

I also have a faux fur love in the bedroom! I have a faux fur blanket and I LOVE it... so does the pup. We snuggle with it every night. One of the best purchases I have ever made and I would highly recommend that all of you get one as well!

Stripes, faux fur and leopard make the perfect mix and match bedding. You can't go wrong with the color combo here!

DIY Painting

Happy Monday! I did a little art project over the weekend and it was so fun. I am just discovering that I really enjoy painting... there is just something about turning up some tunes and going to town! Adam painted with me on Sunday morning and it was kind of adorable :) Such a good weekend!!

This painting is going in the bedroom and ties all of the colors of the room together (new lamps still aren't here but I am dying to get them!!). I will be sure to show it in the room once the dresser is painted and it is hung.

I am definitely planning a few more paintings soon!

When decorating your home, I am a huge believer in incorporating vintage into the design for a few reasons.

1. Cost - You can usually find better made items for cheaper

2. They bring a sense of history to the room

3. Junk yards are already full enough!

Etsy has so many great lamps in all different price ranges. Check Ebay as well! (I bought a pair from Ebay yesterday and can't wait to share with you guys!!)
