When we put wood floors in we didn't do the laundry room because I want to tile it. My parents are coming up this weekend and have offered to bring their wet saw and help me tile it. I, of course, would love to spend a lot of money on tile and get something amazing but our laundry room is about 115 square feet and I want to keep the tile to about $200.
I was thinking about cheaper tile that I like and subway tile came to mind since we used it in our bathroom, which you can see here. I also love tile in a herringbone pattern so I thought why not do white subway tiles in a herringbone pattern?! The tiles are 21 cents a piece at Lowe's so that would come to $1.68 a sq/ft for tile. That means the grand total {without tax} would come to $193.20!!
I bought a few and set the out to see if I like it...
What do you think? Should I go for it??
Have a Fun Weekend.

I like it, and I think it would add a bit of visual interest to your laundry room. :)
I've never seen subway tiles on a floor before. Personally I would choose a different tile-I think subway tiles belong on walls, not floors
ooh, but it think i really love this too, maybe even more! it's such an inexpensive way to do an intricate pattern. i think you can find matte tile, so if you love it, be on the lookout for it!
I did white subway in our previous house and will be using them in our new house. We are considering the herringbone pattern for the backsplash. I wanted to know what color of grout you used for the bathroom with the white subway tile.
Glad to hear from fans of this tile pattern!
