I have been so drawn to anything and everything with an ethnic vibe lately. I think this is such a fun way to add a bit of character to your home as each piece seems to tell its own story. I think a new rule in my home is going to be at least one global piece per room.  What about y'all? Have any global pieces that you just love?

Colette Look-a-Like

I, like everyone else, love the Colette bed from Crate and Barrel. I have seen a few good knock offs posted in the blogosphere like the one from Urban Home. But the bad part about this bed is that it doesn't ship everywhere and if it does, costs an arm and a leg! But low and behold, I have found the perfect knockoff!!! The best part? $2.95 shipping :)

It is on Overstock {with a very high sell out risk!}, costs $873 for the King and $799 for the Queen. The pricier C&B versions are $1899 and $1699. I don't think I have ever clicked add to cart so fast! Plus, the reviews are fantastic.

Oh Overstock...

Just ordered the sinks and faucets for our bathroom last night. The old bathroom had only one sink so we had a plumber come in and set us up for two single sink vanities. We found them at Overstock after looking at Lowe's and Home Depot and not finding anything we loved. There are so many more things I am dying to order from there but I have to keep telling myself one room at a time!



The bamboo faucet wasn't the easiest sell to my husband but he graciously went along with it.



They should be here in about a week, and can you believe the shipping was only $1?! I thought it was some kind of error at first. If everything goes well, I will definitely be using overstock again.
