Too Much Wood

Nebraska Furniture Mart called and the entertainment center is going to take at least another 3 weeks to get here. Secretly, this made me happy because I started having second thoughts about it. It is another wood piece when we all ready have the wood floors, wood coffee table and wood and glass console table. I didn't think this one through very well. I purposefully have made the room very neutral thus far so I can add in pops of color in the a few pieces of furniture, pillows, etc. I saw this small armoire over at isuwannee.com and want to recreate something similar to hold our TV in the living room.

Our piece will have to be quite a bit larger since we have a 42" (I think) TV. I love the glossy peacock blue and the brass ring pulls. Now, off to find the perfect Craigslist piece to transform!

Oh Happy Day!

Finally! The furniture we bought more than a month ago arrived this morning. It just so happened that everything we picked was out of stock so we had to wait about a month. Then, Adam had a meeting come up on our scheduled delivery date so we had to push it back another week. We now have four out of the five pieces. The media stand was damaged so it will be another two to five weeks on that. At least we have most of it to tide us over!

The lovely new sofa. The pillows came with the couch and will be changing as soon as I can pull the trigger on some new covers.

Adam's "man chair" that took quite a while for us to pick out since we were trying to compromise. He wanted leather and I wanted clean lines so we were able to agree on this one.

The coffee table, which is nice and big.

Lastly, the console table/sofa table. Not sure where it is going to go yet, but I am sure that I like it! (Though it is hard to tell, there is a glass top)

Wish List...

With the impending arrival of our new furniture (couch, leather chair, coffee table, media table and sofa/console table) in 4 days, I am on the prowl for many accessories to start pulling the room together.
